OMP-Optical switches is a kind of optical path control equipment, mainly used in optical communication. The micro-electro-mechanical system optical switches, based on thin film filter technology, which connects optical channels by redirecting an incoming optical signal into selected output fiber. It is designed for maximum configuration flexibility, with pluggable modules that plug directly into the OMP managed chassis, each module occupying two slots.
This module can facilitate an integrated cost-effective and flexible optical layer solution by incorporating a variety of optical layer boards, such as OTDR/EDFA/DCM/MUX/OLP/R/B, and can be applied to DWDM dual-fiber/DWDM single-fiber/optical cable monitoring systems, to meet the diverse needs of scenarios.

By uploading and aggregating the optical cable quality information data collected by the RTU hardware to the network management server, and through massive data analysis, a visual "health diagnosis report" and trend analysis are formed. For sudden optical cable failures, measures such as primary-backup switching, rapid identification of the cause and location of the fault, can be taken to reduce the ratio of non-sudden optical cable failures, quickly restore network failures, shorten repair time, and improve the operation and maintenance management level. The monitoring schemes it can achieveActive/lit fibers and Dark fibers
